AmCham is affiliated to the US Chamber of Commerce, the world's largest business federation which represents nearly 3 million businesses of every size and which is based in Washington DC.

AmCham was founded in 1977 as a non-profit association and operates without financial assistance from government. We promote and advance the interests and views of US business in South Africa.

Through AmCham, business people of the United States and South Africa are able to come together and promote their mutual interests.

Johannesburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry

The Chamber is an independent, non-political, subscription-based association dedicated to promoting a business-friendly environment. Our members are drawn from every sector of the economy, and range from independent entrepreneurs to the large corporate. We are a key player in the promotion and facilitation of international trade and an impartial third party which enables us to negotiate contracts and secure funding for projects that benefit its membership. We promote enterprise development, skills development training and business advisory services in Johannesburg.

South African Institute of International Affairs

SAIIA has a long and proud record as South Africa’s premier research institute on international issues. It is an independent, non-government think-tank whose purpose is to encourage wider and more informed awareness of the importance of international affairs.
